Let’s Look Back on 2023!
Now that we’re nearing the end of 2023, we’re taking the time to look back and reflect on another amazing year of change, growth, and community. Every year, our team sets goals that push us to grow in our Core Values: Be Humble & Hungry, Honor Commitments, Embrace Change, Protect the Planet, and Win as a Team. We’re constantly looking for ways to innovate our processes and become an integral part of our community. For us, that means every year looks different from the last! The holiday season is always a time of gratitude, and we have a lot to be thankful for this year. Let’s take a look back!
Partnerships with Minnesota Businesses
It’s been a great year settling into our new headquarters in Plymouth, Minnesota! As Merchology was founded in the Twin Cities area, our friendships with local businesses and organizations are nothing new, but we’ve had many exciting new opportunities to partner with Minnesota-based brands in 2023.
It was our pleasure to create custom gift boxes for patients at the M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. P.J. Fleck, head coach for Minnesota Gophers Football, wanted to create the gift sets for his charity, Row the Boat, which directly supports the children’s hospital. Together, we created customized MerchBoxes to give to children receiving cancer treatment!
With our friends at Arctic Wolf, we designed custom Nike Blazer Low 77’s! Their team was looking for customer gifts with subtle but easily recognizable branding, and so these custom sneakers were made in their brand colors! The team at Microstrategy was looking for popular brands for their quarterly employee gifting initiative, and custom lululemon apparel was the perfect solution. We love working with our Minnesota friends!
Merchology’s New Decoration and Inventory Methods
Part of embracing change is looking for new ways to grow. This year, we introduced an entirely new decoration method into our processes called Direct Apparel Printing! This method is a long-lasting printing solution with a turnaround time of a few days to a week. Direct apparel printing allows for finely detailed designs with exact color matching, and the end product has a softer texture than some methods. We’re excited to see how direct apparel printing opens up new possibilities for your brand’s gifts and merch!
Additionally, we updated our warehouse system over the summer to improve our inventory and fulfillment processes! By using smarter systems, we’re able to provide the best merch experience possible for you and your team.

Merchology’s 2023 Giveback Efforts
This year, we’ve set our highest giveback goals yet. As a team, we’re trying to reach 1,000 volunteer hours for 2023, and as of November, we have less than 100 hours to go! The Giveback Team hosted Merchology’s very first Impact Week, during which we scheduled several volunteer opportunities for employees to join in! We volunteered with M Health Fairview Children’s, Mississippi Park Connection, Food Bank of Northern Nevada, and other amazing organizations. As we finish out the year, our team is dedicating time to Feed My Starving Children, Caitlin’s Smiles, and other holiday volunteer opportunities.
Company Culture in 2023
As always, our team loves to spend time together, celebrating, playing games, and eating great food! Some of our favorite celebrations this year were Cinco de Mayo, Merch BBQs, the annual Summer Party, Halloween Merch Monster Mash, and our Thanksgiving Potluck!
